Huayanay Stone Forest
This majestic structure of rocks reach an altitude of 1,300 m and to reach it we must rise for 15 minutes, from the top you can scan the horizon and see the beautiful mountain surroundings.

This beautiful place is located near the town of Huayanay, belonging to the district Paucará, Acobamba Province, Huancavelica region, the geology here is take some licenses, forming stone forests of singular forms, due to constant water erosion, the wind and sun. These beautiful landscapes are ideal for nature tourism, spending the day around the area, different excursions in the existing trails and you can also make the practice of adventure sports like rock climbing.

These huge stone forests resemble monks gathered up and reach the distance of two miles and crossed by the river Huayanay, you can make the journey for both banks of the river, enjoying the breathtaking scenery, also include the existence in the area of remnants of cave paintings that increase their attractiveness coupled with the easy friendliness of its people, usually used for agriculture and livestock, are also good craftsmen.

To reach Huayanay, starts from the city of Lima on a trip that lasts between 13 and 15 hours of travel, until you reach the village and from there to Paucará Huayanay, you can hire a taxi, the journey is half an hour, if you can camp on the outskirts of the village or seek accommodation in the community.
