Want to jive with a bike through the treacherous trails of the mountains? Get on Rocky Mountain bikes and be ready for an electrifying ride! Rocky bikes are exceptional with a zing of difference. But the offerings of Rocky encompass the desires and needs of myriad off road cyclists

The World Of Rocky Mountain Bike

Rocky bikes are embossed with innovation, quality and value with exceptional design, fabrication, CNC-machining, paint and pre-assembly done in-house in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Rocky mountain bike is one of the leaders who realized that future biking is going to rely heavily on full suspension. They are the one who bought out the 3D Link multi-pivot linkage design years ago. There were bikes for huge downhill travel and free ride bikes. The want was of middle one, a lightweight design for more travel.

ETSX Or Energy Transfer System

The quest ended with ETSX. This is a featherweight package weighing 12.9 kilograms for the 19 inch size and literally you can do ANYTHING with this bike.

This is geared with a double A-arm design, which as per the claim of Rocky Mountain is derived from Formula 1 racecar suspension. The design is beautiful with light and small suspension components. The main pivot point lies above the crank and just in front of the seat tube.

Moreover, there is really no chain stay, which can get in the way of the drive train. Sealed bearings at all of the pivots make the construction superb. By and large the rear wheel stays firmly planted onto the ground and the extra special traction is smooth under all conditions. Now great news! You can flip a quick release and alter the travel from 3.5 to 4.5 inches for a good ride in rough terrains for long travels and for an easy climb to the top of the mountain.

Some Other Specialties Of ETSX

1.	The frame is prepared with Easton Bi-Oval RAD tubing
2.	The welding is rock solid and big
3.	The Fox Float RLC front fork has a very efficient lever on top of the right fork leg to control the spring tension
4.	Two bottle mounts, one above and one below the down tube are there

The Part Mix Is Scrumptious. The List Goes Like This

1.	Shimano 515 clipless pedals
2.	The hubs, cranks, disc brakes, shifters and front derailleur are from Shimano XT
3.	Thermo SP headset and Deus stem
4.	Handlebar from favorite Easton Carbon Monkey Lite
5.	Tires are from marvelous Hutchinson Mosquito
6.	Wheelset is Rockies in house built Wheeltech, which includes Mavic X223 Disc rims, and DT spokes

At present, ETSX has three models.

Finding The Right Bike

Size does matter! And the best way to get the perfect size is testing several sizes in person at a Rocky Mountain bike dealer.

Warranty Coverage On Rocky Mountain Bike

Read the owners manual carefully. The shop from where you bought the bike will provide with initial information. You can also check out the Warranty Inquiries section in the website of Rocky Mountain Bicycles to get detailed info on warranties and guarantees.

Say goodbye to a bland life. Say hello to a daring journey on a sturdy beast, the Rocky mountain bike.

The latest edition to my ongoing articles about travelling and map resources is about the north american continent.

North America and the USA – For a quick idea of how the USA is split into states then this map “mapofusa.biz” map of usa but for a much clearer picture of the north american continent “mapofnorthamerica.org” map of north america is a much better resource. It has the three main countries that make up the north american continent, The USA, Canada and Mexico. Another benefit is that the capitals and states are all shown on the initial map but then there are also links to each individual country. It also has a much more comprehnsive map of the USA.

The map of Canada and Mexico in particular good. Once again there is some info on each country but it is not that useful.

When I travelled through north america last I went through the northern parts of Canada and Alaska and I have to say a map that had more accurate information on roads and highways. I will endeavour to find one and do a review on it. A map with major highways and roads of mexico would also be a very handy map to have on hand.

mapofnorthamerica.org has some information on the continent itself. Whilst mildly interesting it can mostly be ignored, unless you are really into geographical statistics.

Also for those of you who are that way inclined it shows the oceans and seas surrounding the three countries. Including the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean and all the relevant seas.

Traveling to China will immerse us not only to the top travel destinations. Instead, we can go through a lot of different cultures that symbolizes a long history and spans the age of the Chinese civilization. From the highlands of Tibet, the popularly known Silk Road and the Forbidden City, China has so much in its large nutshell.

The Great Wall of China

China being known for tourism can be attributed to its Great Wall. The Great Wall of China is one of the greatest wonders of the world and China’s greatest travel destination. The Great Wall winds up and through desert and mountains at an expanse of 6,700 kilometers from the East to West of China. This wall was built to ward off Mongol invaders in the north.

Tourists traveling to China take in the history of the country with every step of the Great Wall. Now, different foreign tourist marvel at the Great Wall to a point of invasion making it an icon of all China’s travel destinations.

The Forbidden City of Beijing

In the heart of Beijing lies the Forbidden City. This top Chinese travel destination celebrates the history of different royalties of China. The palace contains exactly 9,999 buildings. Tourists can view the Forbidden City behind each gates found on the four sides. Aside from that, tourists can go up the four towers found in the corners to view the buildings from the top. From this viewpoint, travelers can notice the symmetry of the buildings that coincide with Chinese architectural tradition known as Feng-Shui. As the symbol of the royal family, yellow is the dominant color of the Forbidden City. Foreign tourists to China can see the magnificent architecture, dainty paintings, and the grand halls.

The Silk Road

For foreign tourists who want to take in the economic tradition of China, they go to the famous Silk Road. It is the greatest trading route between the East and the West. The road is named after the product that is most traded between China and the West. The Silk Road is also the route of Marco Polo’s travel to China. Most importantly, it served as the route for knowledge exchange between Europe and China. Today, the Silk Road is reduced to dilapidated houses and structures in the middle of the desert. However, travelers will encounter different ethnic groups such as the Tibetans, Uigur, and the Mongolians. The value of the economic history of the Silk Road represents the merging of civilization that leaves a mark on the heart of a tourist traveling to China.

According to the Bible, King David purchased a threshing floor owned by Aravnah the Jebusite (2 Samuel, 24:18-25) overlooking Jerusalem upon the cessation of a plague, to erect an altar. He wanted to construct a permanent temple there, but as his hands were “bloodied,” he was forbidden to do so himself, so this task was left to his son Solomon, who completed the task c. 950 BC. After standing for 410 years, the First Temple was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians in 586 BC.

Reconstruction of the Temple began after the exile to Babylonia. The Second Temple was destroyed by the Roman Emperor Titus 420 years later, in 70 CE. The Romans were, however, unable to topple the Western Wall of the Temple Mount.

Upon the destruction of the Temple, the Rabbis revised prayers, and introduced new ones to request the speedy rebuilding of the temple. They also instituted the saying of the portions of the Torah commanding the bringing of the sacrifices in place of the sacrifices themselves.

After the Muslim conquest of this region, the Temple Mount became known to Muslims as al-Haram al-Sharif (the Noble Sanctuary). It is revered by Muslims as the place of longstanding worship of God by the Jewish prophets as well as the site of the Prophet Muhammad’s night journey to heaven. The Temple Mount is regarded by Muslims as the third most important holy site, after Mecca and Medina.

In 690 CE, after the Islamic conquest of Palestine, an octagonal Muslim shrine (but not a mosque) was built around the rock, which became known as the Dome of the Rock (Qubbat as-Sakhra). In 715 CE the Umayyads rebuilt the Temple’s Chanuyos into a mosque, which they named al-Masjid al-Aqsa, “the furthest mosque.”

The mosque has been destroyed several times in earthquakes; the current version dates from the first half of the 11th century. Both buildings are considered holy to Muslims and make Jerusalem the third-holiest city, after Mecca and Medina.

The mosque and shrine are currently administered by a Waqf (an Islamic trust) that has been granted almost total autonomy by the State of Israel starting in 1967.

The Temple Mount was open to the general public until September 2000, when Palestinians began throwing stones at Jewish worshipers after then-candidate for prime minister Ariel Sharon visited the area.

Following the onset of violence, the new Sharon government closed the Mount to non-Muslims, using checkpoints to control all pedestrian traffic for fear of further clashes with the Palestinians. The Temple Mount was reopened to non-Muslims in August 2003.

The The Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism. According to the Bible, the Talmud, and other sources of Jewish tradition, several important events in the history of Judaism took place on the Temple Mount:

•	Here God gathered the earth from which he formed Adam.

•	Here Adam, Cain, Abel and Noah offered sacrifices to God.

•	Here Abraham passed God’s test by showing his willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac (the Bible says this is on Mount Moriah, which the Talmud says is another name for the Temple Mount).

•	Here Jacob dreamt about angels ascending and descending a ladder while sleeping on a stone (the stone in the Dome of the Rock is believed to be the very stone).

•	The Temple Mount is believed to be the site of the threshing floor overlooking Jerusalem that King David purchased from Aravnah the Jebusite (2 Samuel, 24:18-25).

•	Here King Solomon built the Temple in 950 BC, which stood for 410 years until it was destroyed by King Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC.

•	Here the Second Temple was built after the Babylonian Exile, which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD.

•	During Maimonides’ residence in Jerusalem, a synagogue stood on the Temple Mount alongside other structures and Maimonides prayed there.

The Temple Mount is a relatively minor site for Christians, but is believed to contain the “pinnacle of the Temple” (Matthew 4:5) from which Satan tempted Jesus to jump to prove his status as the Messiah (near Al Aqsa Mosque). The courtyard by the mosques provides an excellent view of surrounding Christian sites, including the Dome of the Ascension (marking the site from which where Jesus ascended into heaven) and the church of Dominus Flevit (commemorating the spot where Jesus wept as he saw a vision of Jerusalem in ruins).

Currently, the Temple Mount is governed by the Waqf, the Supreme Muslim Religious Council. The site has been under Muslim control since the Muslim reconquest of the crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem in the 12th century. This state of affairs was not changed after the area containing the Temple Mount came under Jewish control after the Six-Day War, and Muslims retain almost complete autonomy over the site. However, the Temple Mount area is of great important to both Judaism and Islam, and ownership of the site continues to be a hotly contested point. Some of the major reasons behind its importance for both faiths are outlined below.

The Temple Mount (Haram esh-Sharif) in Islam

After the Muslim conquest of this region, the Temple Mount became known to Muslims as al-Haram al-Sharif (the Noble Sanctuary). It is regarded by Muslims as the third holiest site after Mecca and Medina.

The main reasons for the Temple Mount’s importance for Muslims are these:

•	Islam respects Abraham, David and Solomon as prophets, and regards the Temple as one of the earliest and most noteworthy places of worship of God. (However, some Muslims dispute that the Temple Mount is the site of the Jewish Temple.)

•	Verse 17:1 of the Qur’an speaks of the Prophet’s night journey to the “farthest Mosque” (al-masjid al-Aqsa). This is traditionally interpreted to be the site at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on which the mosque of that name now stands.

•	Muhammad originally established Jerusalem as the qibla (direction of prayer) before changing it to Mecca.

•	According to Arab historians, when Muslims first entered the city of Jerusalem, the ruins of the Temple were being used as a rubbish dump by the Christian inhabitants, in order to humiliate the Jews and fulfill Jesus’ prophecy that not a stone would be left standing on another there. Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab is said to have been horrified at this, ordered it cleaned and performed prayer there at once.

Thinking of wildlife safari? Africa has got it all. Nearly a hundred percent of its reserves and wildlife sanctuaries feature wildlife of some sort. However, the coverage of wildlife species and the varieties that you may see differ as the region changes.

Wildlife aside, safari would only be composed of a number of plant species, of terrain and of strange creatures like insects, bugs and the likes. Without the animals, African safaris would be reduced into a haven of sedentary and rarely moving species. Without the animal of the safaris, ecosystems would not exist. In a sense, animals add to the beauty that life in Africa may present. They give meaning. They add excitement. And they encourage tourism.

It is thought that African safaris started to become famous when the hunt for animals boomed sometime in the nineteenth century. This is because men then were perceived bold enough if they can kill wild animals right in their habitats and in action. This activity provides them a bag full of hunting trophies that adorned the walls of their libraries.

These days, a great thanks to movements for wildlife, hunting is restricted to many areas of African safaris. Nonetheless, there are still areas where slaughtering of wild animals are allowed. Because of the banning, travelers are now limited to only watch the animals hunt each other, predators to prey, and experience the exchange of life and death among them. Some of us still see hunting as a sport though.

The most famous of the animals in safari are known to be the big five which includes rhinoceros, lion, buffalo, leopard and the elephant. Why they became to be, no body is sure. Why other equally wonderful animals are not included in the list remains to be a mystery. It’s safe to presume that that’s simply the way hunters prefer it.

Adding to the big five are plain animals and mammals that coexist with each other. Some being the prey. Some being the predators. Nonetheless, they all take their parts in the circle of life. They give life.

Though not really considered animals, it is still worth saying that there are thousands of insect species, bugs, butterflies, and other moving creatures found in the African safaris. However large or big they can get won’t really matter. They still balance wildlife and they aid in continuing the existence of ecosystems in African safaris.

Some people say, once human intervene with this natural process, even only for once, he may intervene with the succeeding years and life of the species that live in the safaris. And this seem to be true. Sudden and gradual fluctuations of population in the safaris are very much affected by the minute actions of the animals and other living things that exist in it.

We have created brief descriptions of the top five Tanzanians wildlife safaris that rank near the top of the list in all Africa. Please read on.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The worse you can call Ngorongoro is amazing. That would be more than that, there is definitely not a word that can describe this conservation area.

Ngorongoro is the home of the largest caldera on earth. With walls reaching to 2200 meters high, this is fairly equal to Mount Kilimanjaro before the eruption. Thus the consideration for it being one of the world’s natural wonders.

The caldera itself is not a plain heap of land that stood on its place and make people amazed. No. In fact, once the caldera settled, it began to create pools of water that attract some 30,000 wildlife species at any given time. More like a Garden of Eden, Ngorongoro harbors the largest congregation of games in the entire earth.

Tarangire National Park
When you want to see large herds of elephants with accompanying buffaloes, your best bet would be the Tarangire. The number of elephants concentrating here is almost 600 individuals during the peak season.

However, less tourists visit here since they are attracted to neighboring national parks such as the magnificent Serengeti and the mighty Ngorongoro. The dry season harbors the largest population of elephants along with other enormous animals and plain beasts, which benefit from the vast water resources of the Tarangire River. They disperse during winter though.

Lake Manyara National Park
Ask anything about Lake Manyara and collect them all in one heap, tree climbing lions will emerge as the top answer. It is true. Climbing lions that prefer sleeping the day up on the tree branches than lying comfortably in the grasslands as all other lions do.

While it gather its fame from the strangely dispositioned lions, it is also popular for its large congregation of lake birds such as the pelicans, Egyptian geese, storks, quelea, flamingos and cormorants.

You may also find the usual wildlife species here complemented by the rare animals such as the lord of the forest- Sykes monkey and the Olive baboon.

Machu Picchu is one of the new wonders of the world, and despite its location in the high peaks of the Andes, it is accessible in the highest style. In one week you can visit Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Aguas Calientes without feeling pressure like you are rushing through things. This is a once in a lifetime experience for most people, there’s no need to rush through it.

A quality tour striving to make you as comfortable as possible, with all the little details means luxury travel. In luxury travel and luxury vacations you expect 5-star service, at top value and top quality. Just because you are travelling luxury doesn’t mean you don’t consider where every dollar is going. If you are interested in luxury service to Cusco and Machu Picchu, you should expect private, comfortable transfers, in order to avoid sweaty cab rides and miscommunications and language barriers. You can expect tours will be private or at least very small numbers. No one enjoys riding around in a giant tour bus, having to wait until everyone is ready to go, and not being able to move through the tour at your own pace. In luxury travel, you can request private guides to avoid those hassles.

When traveling in luxury your hotels are largely the biggest upgrade that you will have. You will be exploring 5-star hotel options, some of which are destinations in themselves. The Monasterio hotel in Cusco, for example is a restored 16th century seminary that is literally on the site of an ancient Inca palace. Staying at the Monasterio is like staying at a museum. Another example would be the Sanctuary Lodge, right outside the gates of Machu Picchu. While thousands of people have to walk or take the bus from Aguas Calientes in order to get to the gate and lines out front, you will litererally be walking out your front door. This is a big advantage as well for those adventure travelers who want to hike Huayna Picchu. Only 400 people are allowed up Huayna Picchu each day so a line usually forms at the gate of Machu Picchu before it even opens. The first 400 people lined up are the ones who get the exciting privilege of summiting Huayna Picchu.

Luxury travel is certainly the most comfortable way to experience Machu Picchu. With little hassle and the best of the best in comfort, style and service you will not be disappointed with your decision to upgrade your vacation and take your time in this amazing part of the world.

Planning a trip to Egypt? If so, it will be of great benefit to read a simple and basic Egypt travel guide before proceeding to make any plans or tour arrangements. Why? Because, like any country, Egypt has its “must see” locations, its visitor requirements and some basic information that is always good to know.

For example, anyone making a visit to Egypt should consider taking the time to tour some of the following popular destinations:

· The Pyramids of Giza

· The Egyptian Museum in Cairo

· Abu Simbel

· Luxor and Karnak temple complexes

· The Valley of the Kings

· Alexandria

· The “Red Sea Riviera”

· The Western Desert and Oases

· Historical areas of the Sinai Peninsula

Additionally, many visitors plan a Nile River cruise of some kind or another and make a point of visiting the larger markets in Cairo, including the famous Khan al-Khalili. Only by reading through a fairly comprehensive Egypt travel guide will a visitor understand the entire area they intend to tour, and be able to plan the best and most enjoyable visit.

Before planning a visit to the country however, a good Egypt travel guide will make a tourist aware of the kinds of documentation and even medical issues they must also be aware of. For example, visas and passports are mandatory for every individual who seeks to enter Egypt, and residents of some nations have far less required of them in order to gain a visa. In fact, there are many people who are able to simply complete their visa paperwork on the plane in which they are travelling to Egypt. A thorough Egypt travel guide will itemize each nation and what its citizens will require in order to enter the country.

There are also some cultural issues that a good Egypt travel guide will discuss, and this includes the proper dress for both men and women as well as standards of behavior that will be required for most visitors. Generally such topics are focused on modesty and respect for long-standing social traditions. For example, alcoholic beverages are not commonly served, and are in fact “taboo” for many practitioners of Islam.

Additionally, a good Egypt travel guide must address subjects such as transportation, “baksheesh” which is the customary tipping of all service providers, and even safety.

Egypt is a fascinating, diverse and remarkable land, and a high quality Egypt travel guide is a great tool in planning an enjoyable visit to this popular country.
