One of the greatest island travel destination is country (and the island) called Cyprus. The island divides into Republic of Cyprus and Republic of Northern Cyprus. Actually, there’s a history behind the separation political control of the island, but I don’t think that we have to know it clearly. I still do not give an attention to politic, including in this blog. The well-known tourist destination in this island commonly located in the southern part of it, in the Republic of Cyprus controlled area. Cyprus Island located at Mediterranean, so it has a very close position to Asia, Africa, and Europe continent.

If you like the legend of Greek’s myth, you should have heard about goddess of love, beauty, and sexuality, Aphrodite. The myth described the Aphrodite’s birthplace in this island. Because of its heavy influence of Greek’s origin, there are a lot of archeological site related to Greek mythology in almost every part of the island. These Greeks heritages (together with some Roman heritages), such as Kourion Theatre and Temple of Apollon are the most important travel destination for every tourists that visit this island.

Cyprus has a unique morphology. Although it only a small island, Cyprus has a relatively high mountain, called Trodos. This 1952 metres high mountain is a perfect place to enjoy ski during winter, and having a great view in the summer.
Some local tasty alcoholic drinks produced here. Commandaria, its local wine, is a very famous one. It has a sweet and unique taste of wine. Another famous alcoholic drink that become tourist’ favorite is Zivania.
